Carothers' Olive Oil Blog - Wow! Carothers' has history. This company has been around for at least 65 years! It began here, in Flint MI in 1980. I worked for Dales Health Food Store and Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe bought this company from Mr. Carothers (who was in Florida) and brought this company and this Best Oil to Flint MI. I began to work at Carothers' part time while I still worked in the health store.

My duties then at Carothers' was mostly secretarial and PR on the phone work. Taking orders, writing up invoices and getting things ready for someone else to pack them up to be shipped out. We sold this wonderful oil to health food stores around the country, some retail.

As time went on so did my duties there. In time, I was the only employee doing the office work and the back room work; bottling, labeling, packing and shipping out. It sounds like a lot, but really, Carothers' was a small company and was something I could easily handle...along with being wife and Mom of 2 wonderful kids.

In 2010, my boss (and the big brother God never gave me!)said to me one day, "Marie, I am done putting dollars into this company. Will you help me close up at the end of March?"

Well! As this is all I have done out of high school, this and the HFS...I ought the company from him, continuing to bring you the best olive oil, Carothers' Olive Oil.

It took me a two years before I could reopen, funding and all and getting the building we are in ready. As I look back, everything was so in sync. Of course I did my share of stressing but I have go to remember to "let go and let God". He really does have this. 

Now it is 2 years later and Carothers' is growing. I do have a wesite, never did before and it is also growing and getting up there in the SEO ranking. I have learned much and there yet is much to learn.

Cool thing is I am totally doing what I love, what I believe in; bringing to you the best olive oil that I can find. Carothers' is a Spanish oil and is extra virgin of the highest/finest quality. A must try/use.
