It is getting more difficult to get out here and blog - I am a tryin'! With the upcoming markets and shows and the business here in my office (GRATEFUL) I am just not getting out here to do the blog thing!
This Wednesday I will be at the Lapeer Farmers Market, opening day. It is said to be sunny and 80 degrees so all, come on out and play and shop and market the afternoon away!

Over the weekend, doing the Young Living conference I learned some good stuff and interesting information. Much about letting go, moving on and ahead. Good advice - always. I have also started green smoothies and they are pretty good. i have to admit, even I (miss eat it anyway if it is good for you) was pleasantly surprised.

Life sure has been busy with the readying for summer markets and shows. It is exciting and fun. A new Farmers Market is opening in The Canterbury Village in Lake Orion this summer. Last weekend I did an Expo there and I had no idea how really cool this place is! All kinds of different things to do, places to eat and a Christmas shop that does rival Bronners...!

Hi! Another beautiful, beautiful day and with all of this rain life around me is soso green! I am loving it.
I am also excited about this weekend, big Expo, Health Expo in Lake Orion and a Baby Shower the next day for someone I love so much she IS my "Daughter and I AM going to be a Gramma for the first time. Coolness.
Something new that Carothers' is going to be selling is 'Aroma Land Natural' products. They have lotions, shampoos bath salts with essential oils, etc. Many different, beautiful things. At this show I will have the Foot and Leg Lotion, designed to cool legs down and soothing (what a relief after a long day on one's feet)! 4-16-2013 Best Olive Oil - Blog
Where, I ask where do the days go?! I have not blogged in a fewsers but I am, Carothers' is, so way here! I am wondering why so few are taking advantage of the FREE shipping I am offering on this, the best olive oil? It is yummy, fun stuff to have and play with in the kitchen!
I am busy getting ready for my first Expo of the summer Getting in more cans and filling them, lists of what to do and what I need - all the good preparation stuff! It is fun and exciting, I am so ready (in my heart anyway!) to get out there and do this!
Sadness and pure confusion/stunned over The Boston Marathon Bombings yesterday. I send prayers and white light to all concerned and involved. When I turned the tv on I was stunned and reminded how we can be going on in our day and our lives not having a clue what is happening somewhere else. A reminder for me, all of us, to LIVE IN THIS MOMENT, cherish this moment...we never, ever know. Sigh. I am still stunned.

It has been very exciting/happy setting up/choosing and applying for summer markets and expos this year. I am so very ready to get out into the public again! Happy, fun times AND sell the best olive oil - yes.
What I do know for sure is I will be doing the Lapeer Farmers Market on Wednesdays - 9am-3 pm., beginning May 1st. The Healthy Living Expo in The Canterbury Village in Lake Orion 9 am - 5 pm. on April 20th (soon!). This is going to be a very information filled expo with speakers on various health related topics and many venders with only the best of health related products.
CANTERBURY VILLAGE 2369 JOSLYN CT LAKE ORION, MI 48360. Besides, have you ever been to Canterbury Village? It is a fun place to go, beautiful and a huge carousel that I hear free tokens will be given out! So come join us for a day of learning/playing and buying/browsing some great products!
I am trying to share the page and events/speakers and times on Carothers' Face Book page but right now it is still coming up as a not working page! GRRR! Frustrating NOT giving up so please keep checking AND while you are there - please go ahead and "like" my page and be amazing and help me get the news of the best olive oil out there! ;)
Another show I will do in autumn is The Gourd Festival. This will be my third year doing this one and it is such a good time. It is at the Eastern Michigan Fairgrounds in Imlay City, MI.
This is all I have set up at the moment - much more to come and I will keep you posted!

Morning all! Rain Rain Rain Rain and the green beauty of springtime is all around us. Sweet sigh. All is good.
More bottling going on here, always an enjoyable job. I know how fortunate I am to be doing what I am doing and owning this company. Yes, it most certainly does come with challenges I never before knew or imagined (!!!) but I would not be choosing anything else but to move this wonderful product to public use and awareness.
Carothers' Olive Oil is the best olive oil, tasting and product performance. Olive oil is so very good for your health and skin and hair. It works actually as a repellant for many issues/health problems that can arise as we age. Taking 1-2 tablespoons daily is an excellent rule and practice. Best morning o you all. It is actually beginning to SMELL like spring outside to me! Very exciting. "One more frog freezer" my hubby says, I think we are going to see this this week. I have heard the frogs only once so far this spring, so alright, that DOES count!
I hope you got a look at the recipe I posted yesterday and maybe even tried it, I did and it was very, very good.
I am a little excited - my hubby works at the airport and ran into Chris Graff yesterday and asked him to have me call and leave him a message/Carothers' number as they are OUT of this olive oil and WANT MORE. I am smiling as I type this - this is so cool. Little by little the SECRET of the best olive oil is getting out there. It really is good stuff. Hi! Sunday morning, not a lot going on right now. Simply hangin'! Actually this feels good, mellow. My goal today is to begin to set up the markets I will do this summer...I am looking for a helper! Most of the days I think I will need someone is on Saturday and maybe some Sundays.
What I am in need of is someone to set up the canopy, and the heavy stuff - getting the cases of olive oil out of the van and to where my "set up" place is. If you have that kind of free time and think this is doable, it can be way fun, call me please. Two numbers, 810-715-9748 or 810-407-3398.

The Simplest Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes, Garlic Confit, Olive oil and Grated Kefalotyri
Preparation Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients
How many times have you found yourself thanking the genius who invented the beloved plate of pasta? There are so many ways to enjoy this delicious ingredient but usually the simplest combinations make the result even more tasteful!
1 Cup Gaea PGI Laconia Extra Virgin Olive Oil
8-10 garlic cloves, peeled and cut into thin slices
12-15 cherry tomatoes, stemmed
½ tsp. dried Greek oregano
1/2 kilo \ 1 pound linguini or other long, thin pasta
Salt
2 Tbsp. fresh oregano leaves
150 gr \ 5 ounces Kefalotyri cheese,or other cheese grated
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Preparation
Heat half the olive oil in a small skillet over low heat and cook the garlic in it until soft. Do not allow to burn. In a separate skillet, heat 1/4 cup olive oil and char the cherry tomatoes, tossing in the skillet until blistered. Add the dried oregano and toss a minute or so more. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, remove, drain, and toss with remaining 1/4 cup olive oil.
• To serve. Remove about 1/3 of the pasta and toss in a deep platter with 1/3 of the garlic and oil, 1/3 of the tomatoes, fresh oregano, pepper, and cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Drizzle with a few drops of olive oil and serve hot

Hi and good morning on this fine, beautiful day! The sunshine sure does make all of the difference - does it not?!
It is Friday and This is happy. No plans of any kind for the weekend and that is alright. Layback, take it easy works for me okay. There is always the usual, clean house, do laundry, go to the library and look for a good book to read. There is an interesting book that a friend shared with me yesterday, "Hands of Life" by Julie Motz...it may be too new to be at the library yet...?!!
I also may come in here (office) and do some sweeping, mopping and cleaning up around the parking lot/sweeping up excess salt this weekend due to beautiful weather and Springtime! At last!

4/03/2013 Best Olive Oil - Blog
Okay...time may begin to go a little slower now that it is April and getting Springtime! This last winter is the FIRST winter (in my whole life!) that FLEW by me...and I was pretty much okay with that being the "I HATE THE COLD" person that I am. Goal is to be a snowbird in my near and upcoming future! I have a Sister in Arizona with enough land surrounding her to put up a small place and live my winters out there. I love Michigan, really i do. the change of seasons are unlike anywhere. It is just the 4-5 months of crip/crap/crud and cold that does not work for me anymore. t all. "The End"!
As normal, I am at the office, Carothers' Olive Oil, doing office stuff. Very cool thing and I am so proud of myself: For the first time on Quikbooks I totally reconciled, perfectly and balanced all by myself without any help!!!
Quikbooks was a whole new concept for me when I bought this company. Old school, we had always used pen and paper and receipts and paper invoices with carbon paper! A computer on my desk was never something real and for billing? Checks. Period.
I have had much help figuring out this whole Quikbooks thing (which I totally screwed up "teaching myself!). This guy, who is also my Tax guy this year, is AMAZING, patient and kind. He is coming today to do my taxes...IKR, time to do this! I am anxious to tell him that I reconciled without his help as he is the one who taught me, so well. :))

Quikbooks was a whole new concept for me when I bought this company. Old school, we had always used pen and paper and receipts and paper invoices with carbon paper! A computer on my desk was never something real and for billing? Checks. Period.
I have had much help figuring out this whole Quikbooks thing (which I totally screwed up "teaching myself!). This guy, who is also my Tax guy this year, is AMAZING, patient and kind. He is coming today to do my taxes...IKR, time to do this! I am anxious to tell him that I reconciled without his help as he is the one who taught me, so well. :))

Morning People! Darn cold, cold day...but it IS sunny and beautiful. We all woke up, I hope (!), we are all breathing (a challenge sometimes for me)... so it is all good. ;) So very good.
The savings you receive in FREE shipping, just so you really understand how much shipping REALLY is to a residential area, (which we all are if we are not a business being shipped to) is anywhere between $12-17.00! I know! I thought that shipping was, oh, maybe $7.00ish: highest for something weighing 2-3 pounds. April 1st - April Fool's Day! The hard frost on the ground upon awakening was NOT a good joke - UGH and GRRR! A new week has begun and I am ready for good things, the best olive oil moving right out of my door to all of you!
