3-07-2013   Best Olive Oil - Blog

My Tux'
Another day, and I am totally counting on it being an amazing Thursday! Thursdays generally rock for me for some unknown reason...and I so need this in my life today! If there is anyone following me in this blog you would have seen my worry over my kitty, Tuxedo. We took him into the vet' this morning and he is, indeed a sick li'll guy. They kept him, lots of diagnostic testing going on...long, long day. A day of prayers and positive thinking and pulling strength from anyone/anywhere I can!

OKAY. On with the olive oil! I am here, at the office just doing what I do. There are a couple of internet orders (wonderful) that will be going out today and one to a guy who has been ordering from Carothers' Olive Oil long before I owned this company. I worked there back in that day. He is in Washington State and he has been using Carothers for 30 years now! How cool is that? Very cool!

Carothers' is such a pure, beautiful oil. If you have not tried it yet I totally recommend it. Of course, yes, it is a business for me but it is also a passion. I took on this company in 2010 (opened in 2011) because I could not just see this stuff disappear off the market.  It is such a "real" olive oil and more and more I search on the internet and learn just how many things are going on with not only olive oil, but pomegranite (sp?) juice, honey, maple sugar and many more. We are NOT getting what we think we are and what the label tells us is not a promise we are anymore. It is all very sad. Some time type in "OLIVE OIL SCANDAL" and learn for yourself. There is so many more articals on this also.

Carothers' has been in business for 35 years, buying from the same farm in Spain and now, here, at my warehouse, I TEST the oil for acidity levels. Extra virgin olive oil must come in below 1% acidic and Carothers' generally comes in at .04%, sometimes .06%. It really is the best olive oil.

Blessings and good day to you until tomorrow.  Marie K
