3-14-2013 - Best Olive Oil = Blog

Good morning...ummmm, actually, Good afternoon! Where did the morning go?  :))  I came in this morning to 'check out' the new barrel my husband put on for me on his way home from work last night and taste it, always do. It is as good as ever.  I was also marveling at and tasting the last few ounces we drained out of the last barrel. We turn it completely upside down to get everything we can from it and Carothers', being unfiltered olive oil, at the bottom of the barrel is full of bits and pieces of olives skins. It is beautiful to 'roll around' in a cup and areal treat to the palate as Carothers' Olive Oil, the best olive oil always is!  Indeed, caused me much joy and gratitude.

Next time my hubby puts on another barrel I will try to video it, it is interesting. The barrels weigh 455 pounds and as you could guess, is one thing around here that I do not do. There are special tools and dollies that make this possible, but still, it is a 'willfull' job!

My Daughter is home from Marquette now for a few days. This is happiness. I must head to the store and get some food!!! Also stopping by the vet's office to pick up some anti flea stuff for my Mya. Her fur is so long (swore I would not have another long haired kitty, HA!) and she needs some help with fleas and hairballs...thinking food special for just that - I know there is such a thing.

It is sunny and beautiful outside. Quite cold but 100% sunshine. Huge, happy sigh. Katie, Daughter, is coming in to work to help me with a couple of things on the computer and then we are taking off together to get a few things done. I will need to come back to work for a while, is alright, she will go and play and just be 'home'. She really needs the break!
